About Me

My name is Sandip Manna. I live in a small town in West Bengal. After completion of masters in commerce, I am an accounts and tax consultant in profession.

I always loved travelling, which I still do, and like other tourists I used to capture shots of nature, tourist interests and also of my family for our family album. It was all about keeping our memories, but nothing serious in photography.

In 2018, I became curious and took it seriously and bought my first DSLR which was an APSC sensor based camera. As I love landscape it was captured more. Side by side I used to learn on online platforms consistently and it helped me to grow my photographic vision. I came to realize what perfect light is; how bold subject, precise elements and ideal composition construct depth and dimension; how to include emotion and mood in a photograph, what is color theory in digital arena and principally what the differences between snapshots and photographs are. I am delving into it deeply and am astonished regularly.

After changing few gears, right now I have a Sony alpha 7 III full frame sensor mirrorless camera with Sony FE 16-35mm f2.8 and Sony FE 70-200mm f4 lenses and I love it utmost.

Besides capturing grand vistas, fine art and minimalism are also becoming the cornerstones of my photography. I love to capture different types of landscapes. Pleasing and delightful light of sunrise and sunset always fascinate me. I shoot in raw format and process it through post processing softwares in my PC where I impose my feeling to create the mood and emotion besides which a photograph couldn’t get a life.

My learning process is consistent and today I couldn’t live without photography.
